Grandma's Lounge (2003)

News corporation Bloomberg needed an alternative meeting space to serve as an entrance to one of its offices. The Grandma's Lounge plays on the experience of visiting your Gran, and is intended to contrast with the fast moving, high-tech enviroment of the office desks. We tooks four sterotypical Granny attributes, from kitsch ornaments, doylies, crochet, and Granny's curtains, and abstracted them into chair, lamp and stool sets. Granny's Room was installed for 3 months, in which time it served as a place for informal meetings as well as an interview location for Bloomberg's own television channel.
